I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and have extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment for over 23 years. I have worked in various fields of psychiatric care including adult and geriatric psychiatry as well as forensic psychiatry. I had the privilege of helping Veterans at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in both inpatient and outpatient care. I currently work at Gateway Homes had have been helping provide care to individuals with chronic mental illnesses since 2007. In 2015 I opened a private office to work with individuals who require outpatient treatment of mental illness and substance abuse. This was to better serve the mental health and substance abuse treatment needs in Richmond, Virginia. I am currently an active member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association.
